Great, now I HAVE to get working...

Honestly, here I am with a huge flash project I need to work on, and but GTA IV about 3 feet away. Whatever shall I do?
Anyway, pretty good submission. The art and sound were both pretty decent, but I've got some suggestions on things you can improve on -
1. Spelling, or at least get voices in instead. The text was alright, but the spelling wasn't so good.
2. Length - I know it's just one joke, but that was a pretty short animation. However, if it was much longer it probably wouldn't have been as funny.
Anyway, pretty good animation, hope to see your talents improve!

Shadowii2 responds:

Heh, this was rather short flash made in 3 hours actually, so this is nothing when compared to my bigger flashes (both graphically and joke-wise).

1. Well, I would have been force to make both of the voices myself, so I thought I should leave voices alone

2. Yep, also my usual "makin'-flash-longer" methods don't turn out to be good, instead of that boring.

But thanks for your opinions there.

Fantastic

The art was some of the prettiest stuff I've ever seen done in flash. Animation was smooth, and the environment was serene. The music and sounds of the sea were really soothing, and the dialogue had a primal, animalistic simplicity to it.
Great animation, really captured me for a few minutes.

Solid first effort

The art and animation were pretty choppy, but I can tell a good deal of effort went into them. Nice use of the classic Zelda music from Link to the Past too; made me a bit nostalgic. However, the cheesy "epic" power metal type song near the end was pretty lousy, and the terrible generic techno in the end credits damn near ruined it for me.
However, for early flash, this is a damn good start. You have some solid storytelling abilities, and know the basics of flash pretty well from what I can tell.
Keep working in flash, you've got some potential.

Nice work!

First off - very good anime style. A lot of flashes here ape that style, but few pull it off as well as you do. The art was really strong, and the animation itself was pretty smooth.
What I could see of the story seemed pretty cool as well, with some dramatic and even horror elements tossed in there. I'd really like to see what happens in the finished movie!
My only criticism is the voice acting - it's a little dry, and kind of quiet. If you could get it to the same caliber as the rest of this submission, you'd have a near perfect submission. As it is, this is still fantastic, and I'm eager to see how the series will unfold. Great work!
PS - when are you expecting to release it? I read you plan to release it as a series.
Keep up the great work!

One of the few genuinely good tributes

Madness tributes are really dime a dozen on newgrounds, but this one really stands out. This has animation quality on par with the original Madness flashes, and art that actually seems original, not just ripped from Krinkels.
Also, good sense of humor. A lot of Madness tributes really miss the fact that there's some humor in the series. Great tribute man, 5'd it.

Another brilliant flash

You basically addressed every single argument for or against either computer I could possibly think of. To top it off, your art is fantastic, and only getting better. I think this one looks even better than Not-so-final-fantasy.
Also, I have eaten macaroni and cheese with ketchup. More than once.
Defying the starving artist stereotype, one bowl of easy mac at a time.

Best of it's kind since the original

Tons of Animator Vs. Animation knockoffs come through every week, but this is the first I've seen that matches the quality of the original (granted I haven't seen your first yet, but I'll get on that after this review)
Animation was smooth, and damn good picture quality on those backgrounds. The way you brought the stickman to the desktop was really cool, as was the way you killed him. Good work, and grats on the daily feature.

KobraEditing responds:

Thank you very much...Happy to entertain

Watched this after the sequel

Almost as funny as the sequel, if not as long. You definitely improved from this one to the next, but this is still funny as hell.
The whole concept of flying severed heads is so ridiculously funny; no idea why.

Love your work!

While I still think Half-Beard is slightly better, this one was fantastic. That whole "effeminate lead male" thing bugs the hell out of me too. Back in FFX, I'd be tempted to skip the cutscenes just because Tidus was whining so much. The art and animation have only gotten better with this series, and I can't wait for the next one! Keep it up!
(PS: the music was fantastic)

Bobert-Rob responds:

Dude, Tidus' complaining was hilarious, if you think about it. Especially his voice actor.. I don't think they could've gotten him a bitchier voice actor, it was perfect. And his voice spazzed out so much, "EH SHIT I WANNA GO HOME, WAH", it was great. Especially at the end of the game, too funny.
*ahem*
Anyway, thanks for the review!

Art of the non-sequitir

First off - delightfully random characters, dialogue, and, well, everything else. The art and sound quality were both well above average, and I absolutely loved the Uh-Oh Nautilus ads.
Only thing I would suggest is background music. It can really bring a scene to life. Great work, can't wait for more of your work!

I'm Camtoons. I make cartoons. That's not confusing or anything.
