Very "been there done that"

The animation itself was fairly solid, but really was almost the exact same thing as the first Mario Pown. However, the part with the coins looked really good in this, which I'll give you props for.

The audio, while somewhat fitting, is increasingly obnoxious. When it's getting near the end it just goes batshit and goes from mildly irritating to ear-bleeding.

While the flash is an improvement over your first edition of it, it really has nothing terribly special about it. Sprite animations like these are overdone and stale - not to the point of pointless Naruto and Dragonball Z sprite fights, but still a pretty tired convention. I hope you can move on from such overdone genres in the future and branch into something of your own. While this is okay, if you want to get anywhere you're going to need to strike out on your own.

Oddly entertaining

The art was simple and the animation was rather stiff, but if anything that added to the appeal of the cartoon!

Honestly, if I were Egoraptor that is exactly how I would feel every time someone suggested the latest game to make an "Awesome" flash out of. Hell, I feel that way every time someone tells me to make a sequel. Anyway, that's another topic.

The concept of Egoraptor as a dinosaur was entertaining and inventinve. Watching him eat fans was also pretty entertaining. Good voicework helped this too.

Good work, but I would continue to work on the animation aspect of your work. Looking forward to what you make next!

this is by my standards, a spam flash, but don't worry I have plenty of "actual" animations coming your way

The art is solid, the rest disappoints.

I've never read Twilight nor seen the movie, but any fad that generates that much media hype leads me to find it contemptible. Because of this, I had high hopes for this flash, as it's making fun of the latest fad. However, I was disappointed overall.

First off, the art and animation are rather good. The movie was a pleasure to look at, and was fairly well animated. However, the humor really fell flat. The fact the whole animation centers around one joke kept it kind of boring and uninteresting. It's funny that he watches her sleep and hits on 17 year old girls, but not funny enough to carry an entire cartoon.

Unfortunately, the flash was really short. If it was longer it may have had the time to venture into a different joke or two, but it left itself no time.

Your art is very strong, and you've accentuated it well. Next you need to work on trying to bring your writing skills to equal your animation skills. Best of luck, and congratulations on getting front page.

Not enough to really say much

What little I saw was very good, but there were only a few seconds of animation. I would try compressing the original movie and releasing it in multiple parts here on Newgrounds, as most people here don't take kindly to previews and trailers.

However, as a huge fan of 40k (just finished painting a squad of assault marines before I watched this) I'm really interested in seeing what the whole movie is.

Looking forward to seeing more than just this little preview!

It's a start

The graphics, to put it bluntly, were not very good. Surfaces lacked detail, guns were just gradient blocks of grey, and characters were just shapes with no features.

The audio was pretty much standard sound, which is fine. However, the ripped audio from CoD4 sounded pretty hokey. If everyone actually spoke in something other than text, it might seem less so, but it's just odd for the sake of the movie that only some people can speak with actual sound.

To improve, I would purchase a mic and record the dialogue yourself. Also, I would work on detailing the backgrounds, characters, and weapons. Give them a sense of depth and character that they sorely lack now. As it is, there's just a few flesh colored circles running around. Make the audience care about your characters. As is, I could care less if they lived or died.

Hope you can take some of my advice into consideration for your next flash.

Hey, your right. It isn't that good. Also, I LOVE YOUR SUBMISSIONS. Your CoD 4 multiplayer parody was my inspiration, but my vid comes nowhere close to yours.

Dry humor, but a slow burn

The humor of this was rather funny, but it was a real slow burn. I love it when humor takes it's time, but some of this was just a little too slow for my tastes. Was still very enjoyable.

The art was excellent however, even if there was not that dynamic animation in comparison to the two heroes just standing around and talking.

Overall a solid submission with a lot going for it.

I can totally understand if it's not to your taste, thanks for the fair review anyways, you don't always see that. You made a lot of good points and things to work on for our next animations. I hope we piqued your interest enough to check out the next ones. Thanks again for the review.

Pretty good.

The animation is as good as ever, but the song is a bit lacking in comparison to Weebl's other work. It's not as catchy as some of the classics like "Pork" and "Owls", but is still a pretty good music video.

Looking forward to seeing what you two will put out next!

Entertaining enough

I've always been a big fan of your work, but I think it's about time you slowed down on the Awesome series. Your writing is still really entertaining, as is the art style, but it's starting to feel a little bit old. I know you've mentioned wanting to move on to new things, but I know how hard it is to get out of a certain mindset or out of a rut.

The flash has some of your better artwork and pretty decent animation, and the writing is still silly as ever. For some reason though, this one doesn't hold up to repeat viewings as well as your other Awesome toons.

For instance, I have no idea how many times I've seen Metal Gear Awesome, it's sequel, and some of the better Awesome Compilations. I laugh every time almost as hard as I do the first. This flash was great the first time I watched it: I was laughing out loud like you wouldn't believe. However, it's less entertaining the more I watch it, unlike some of the other Awesome flashes.

All in all, good work, but not great work. I hope you can move on from the Awesome series soon and work on something that is not a parody, yet just as entertaining as the old Awesome movies.

Dead on!

The graphics and voice acting were a perfect imitation of the Homestar Runner style. Honestly, if it weren't for the fact that this didn't feature Homestar as a drunk (something that would never happen with the Brothers Chaps in charge) I could have mistaken this for an official toon.

The humor was alright, but most of my score is for how outstanding the imitation of the style and voice were. Great work!

Love the song

But the flash fails to do it justice. The fact that it's chiefly text does not make it very interesting to watch, and the color combination of red and blue clash so much that it strains the eyes. If you were to make a music video, with events that play out along with the music, you could have something really good. What you have now is really simplistic and not very entertaining.

Keep making flash, and you'll get better soon. Also, good taste in music. Make sure that stays intact!

k thx for the review, i guess. future stuff will probobly take more time.

I'm Camtoons. I make cartoons. That's not confusing or anything.
