Reeks of unoriginality.

The short story is, sprite animations have been done to death. Very few bring anything unique to the table, and this is no exception.

Nothing new was on display, as this story has been done before. Unless you're really going to go out and make it unique, I wouldn't bother doing anything of the sort.

There's little I can say about the art or animation, as the art was pre-made sprites and a single image (the mock up title screen, which I'll admit looked alright)

Start making animations using your own art and universe. Hell, you could even draw Mario and Luigi in flash and you'd at least be a step ahead of most sprite animators.

Better luck with your future submissions,

You know, I think you are right. And that is what I thought too when I first thought of making a luigi game. "There's a million of them" I said. But then it hit me. There was a story I wrote for a school, it was like, 50 pages of small copybook. Maybe about 25 or 30 of A4 pages. I gave to my teacher, who gave it to the principal, who suggested I put it on the internet. And at that time I was thinking of making a luigi game. So, put em both together, with inspiration from the Metal Gear Solid series (you know, with those plot twists that leave your jaw open for an hour) I plan to make something that is truly unique. Bowser is the least of luigi's worries here, and mario.... Well I don't want to spoil anything. But if you'd like, PM me and I'll PM you with a little more of the story.

When I told it to A guy I was gonna be working with, he told me to get started right now as he couldn't wait for it anymore. Let's just hope it turns out the way I envision it now.

Not enough 40k animations here

And even fewer funny ones!
A refreshing take on the so often gothic-tacular grim future us 40k players know and love. The visuals were really nice, cute, and simple. Sounds were great, and the humor was spot on.
It really reminded me of a show that used to be on Cartoon Network called Samurai Jack. The "no outlines" artistic style and dialogue free sound really brought Jack to mind, which is a good thing!
Finally, what army do you play? I'm a Space Wolves guy myself, but I'm just curious!
I look forward to seeing more from you in the future, 40k or not.

Huge 40k fan

And this does it justice. The graphics were very nice, so was your bit of 3d work - the Rhino coming over the hill looked really good. The song fit the flash very well, and really got your point across.
And yeah, it totally sucks to be a guardsman.
Two things - what do you have planned for part 2, and what army do you play?
Anyway, very good flash, can't wait to see more from you, 40k related or not.

Kreid responds:

1) The song is 2 parts, the second half is longer and really dramatic at the ending,
2) funnily enough, I play Tau and Chaos, the two armies NOT featured in the film! (aside from orks)
3)Thanks for the positive feedback :D

As good as the original, maybe better

I found the video this is based on a few weeks back - it's cool to see what you did with it. Of course I'm not familiar with you and your friends as I am with the Nintendo characters, but this was still enjoyable. Also, loved the WeeGee that was on screen for about 1/8th of a second.
The art and animation were solid, and the song is catchy. Good work!

Very David Lynch

The art and presentation of the whole piece was astounding. That and the sound (forwards/backwards speech of TV Head) really reminded me of David Lynch's work, like the stranger moments of Twin Peaks, as did the flaming B.
Possibly the finest piece of Clock-related flash ever made.

PropagandaClock responds:

Haha thank you for the awesome review, David Lynch? Im humbled !

9's instead of 10's make baby jesus cry though.
And actually the TV's are not talking backwords... dum dum dum....

The ClockCrew loves you and all !

Gotta love the Locks

You guys kick the crap out of CC, GG, KK, and all the like. Nice art and animation, great audio, and genuinely funny jokes. Happy Lock Day guys, you deserve it.

CakeLock responds:

Amen to that, brother.

Not bad at all!

The art was pretty simplistic, and the animation alternated between fairly smooth and jerky. I did, however, love the blood effects, and you used really visceral sounds - not the exact same madness ones that everyone else uses. A pretty good madness style flash overall - really liked the two guns thing; that really encapsulated the Devil May Cry factor of it all.

fadedshadow responds:

ebony and ivory, baby

I love being Snake!

Saw this while you were working on it, love seeing it in it's final form on NG! Great artwork and animation, and the script has always been great.
Hope both of us get into the MGS Collab!

FaltaViva responds:

Me too, hopefully me releasing it as it's own thing won't hurt it's chances.

I loved the Goo-vies

I think this may be my favorite of your Goovies. The animation and art have just been getting better and better in the weebls-stuff flashes, and I think this is the best, at least as far as Weebl and Bob are concerned.
Kind of a shame to see the Goovies end, but just about everything that comes from weebls-stuff is gold anyway. Can't wait for more Weebl & Bob!

I'm Camtoons. I make cartoons. That's not confusing or anything.
